Corks + Caftans

Physical fitness.

February 17, 2010 6 Comments

We were supposed to go to the gym tonight.

[The Champagne of Beers at the Tin ‘n’ Lint.]

We’ve been hitting the TNL since our first days in the ‘Toga. Known historically for being the bar where Don McLean wrote “American Pie,” it is also known for being the place we have collectively gotten into mounds of barf-induced, cash-only, cup-flipping trouble. It’s nice to know the bartenders, and exactly which CD # The Black Crowes are in the jukebox.

Oh, and Carey wrote “BONER” about 67 times on one booth. Go check it out. She tattooed Eli on there tonight, seen above.

[Once, we received a late-night phone call from Radigan: “Yo, yo, yo, the cat lamp over the juke box. I’m stealing it for you tonight. I’m gonna bite it, right now—I’m biting it.” Radigan is tall.]

Here’s to local dives, all the ones we’ve molded away at, and all the ones we have yet to discover.
