Corks + Caftans

Rough life.

February 19, 2010 15 Comments

Best Friday I’ve had in awhile:

[My old street.]

[Pops.]

[I miss walking in here, never having to look at the menu to order, waiting for take-out by the bar with a Β glass of sangria and chatting up the bartender. She was from Charleston and we had a back and forth about our favorite bars there, then I wished her good luck with tips so she could take time off to go back and visit.]

[Sangria from Cruisers. Best ice cubes in the world.]

[Sky’s been full of helicopters today. Tiger Woods was giving his press conference across the street this morning.]

[In utero sun worshipping on a full stomach… I like this nephew of mine already.]

[Chicken Chunks and a Bud heavy.]

[Brady doesn’t remember our days in Chicago together. Or me, for that matter.]

More where that came from. Adios for now. I have some serious sunning to do…

Nothin like a good dose of Southern charm. I lived in Charleston and visited Savannah a bunch… I just loved it. I miss running along the Battery at night. πŸ™‚

It’s certainly hard to leave when your new home is covered in snow! I feel lucky to have grown up next to the beach, and fingers crossed I’ll make my way back (with Rob in tow) some day soon πŸ™‚ [Did I mention our parents live across the street from each other here? It’s how we met!]

Can’t wait! Went out tonight with the gals (which I needed), got back to my ‘ol “go-go dancin” days, and danced on the box! I’m sure a little liquid courage helped, but anyway was told to get down eventually. πŸ™ Whatever. I still got it! I’m not an old hag yet! πŸ˜‰

Oh by the way, did you see how Jennie @ The Coveted styled her JS shoes?

Not at all how I pictured. But she’s simply adorable. So I can’t be mad at her. πŸ˜‰
