Corks + Caftans

Greetings from the Richmond Folk Festival

This is one of those days that demands you kick caution, cares, and chores to the curb. If I had work to do, this’d be the day I said “F**k it.” If I had an office to show up at, this’d be the day I called in sick.

In short, I was exactly where I wanted to be, doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing.

Thankfully, I was able to convince my friend [who had actual work to do] that he should join me. We danced to honky tonk, watched trains mosey by, and mused over life as it pertains to corndogs. Live tunes, boozy bicycle rides, sunshine, draft beers, grandpa sweaters in the shade, happy people, and a fantastic slice of RVA I won’t soon quit smiling over.

Happy weekend!

Was there a ‘booze, booze, booze’ tent?

Jesse James does not look happy that you’re taking his picture!

I hope that kid got a swig. I think he was trying to cut right when his dad looked away.
