Corks + Caftans

NYE 2011.

January 5, 2012 Leave a Comment

It’s time for 2012. I hope the new year offers great promise to you all.

This year, our New Year’s Eve playground was the wine store. The open sign was unplugged and the wine we’ve been all itchy to open over the last year was liberated. For me, it was a special bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut, somewhere around its tenth birthday, given to me for my thirtieth birthday, and a Grand Cru Mongeard Mugneret Echezeaux that was pretty damned sexy.

[The bros of Barrel Thief: Booth (black tux), Sam (white tux), Sean, and me.]

[Unfortunately, my Billecart bottle was not happy to be opened by a sabre and appears as though I popped it with a golf club.]

[Me and my Burgundy. One happy dude.]

[No tv’s this year, just a homemade ball drop. Hopefully Dick Clark wasn’t made to suffer through another countdown.]

Happy new year!

-Rob.
