Corks + Caftans

The 12 days of Chris [Robinson]-mas.

December 12, 2012 4 Comments

[DIY tie dyed shirt + Joie dress + Citrine by the Stones & Vanessa Mooney necklace, bracelets, rings, etc.]

On the first day of Chris Robinson-mas… I demo’d an old J.Crew tux shirt to try and recreate this bit of magic:

I wasn’t exactly positive what I was doing but I dig the outcome and wear this thing with kind of psycho stalkerly pride!

I used a wet/dry spray in neon colors (buy it here) then free-hand dribbled some red dye from a separate project over it. The dry spray lets you layer saturation, which is awesome. I’ll give it another go when I’m feeling more comfortable with my dye-flinging skills, but this will suffice for now.

For more on my style icon, peep this.

Until Day 2, kiddies.

And it’s homemade, I freakin’ die. Chris should be a fan of yours, if he’s not already.
