[My super sweet ride + Rob trailing Melissa and Andy on the tandem bike.]
More Memorial Day weekend pherters fer yer. We enjoyed a few hours of sobriety at the beach before diving right back into the mayhem. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow—once I lose control of my hair, I pretty much can’t be held accountable for any of my actions beyond that point.
And my hair was nuts.
Bay Head was lovely—and managed to meet a lot of my Floridian demands. Arctic water temperatures were forgiven for their ability to sooth my gigantic block feet. Kadima with 3 people was both challenging and hysterical.
[Taka linen dress, known to accentuate both cleavage and all other unflattering bits.]
We headed over to the Patio Bar and I had the best pina colada of my life and tore apart some oysters, clams, shrimp and crab claws. Today begins a week-long detox. There are obvious (and uncontested) doubts as to how long I can last. If we’re not both on board, it becomes pretty impossible to stick to.
One more Mem Day post to come. We’ve saved the best for last.

first of all: perfect title.
secondly: i might still be pouting a bit that we missed each other by mere days in nyc/brooklyn.
thirdly: i, too, vowed to detox tonight. however (happily), i’m on my second glass of wine and my boy is about to pour me a vodka tonic.
whoops.
please don’t abandon me in loving libations! if even for a night (what’s this “week” talk? surely you jest)!
xx.
