Corks + Caftans

Brooklyn photo journal.

Casey and Beth shrouded by  atypically nice stemware at an atypical bar—Spuyten Duyvil on Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn. More on the wine and the bar soon.

Brunch at Buttermilk Channel on Court Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Don’t miss the short rib hash and buttermilk pancakes.

Moo.:

The Director was ‘In’! And this gentleman brought him a warm cup of coffee before sitting in a baby folding chair and discussing Tea Party Politics. We missed the rest.

[The Homeless Museum of Art.]

Best photo find of the weekend—one thoroughly sucked red lollipop with downy feather attached. The traffic light box is receiving a nice varnishing.

Vintage Vespa! Appears to be in working order.

Beans the hot dog! Don’t miss his very own YouTube channel.

Cubana Cafe on Smith Street in Brooklyn. 5 people, 2 corkage fees, and a round of entrees for $85. Stellar food, friendly folks. Whatever that corn appetizer was… get one. Or four.

Clover Club on Smith Street. The drink of the night was definitely the Port of Call, shown here. Giving Carey 100% credit for discovering that one. No surprise there; gin was the primary ingredient.

More where this came from. Probably pretty apparent why we hit The Fireplace on the way out of town, eh?
