[“And that’s why… the American Indian is responsible for the turquoise jewelry movement.”]
Legitimately, my first exposure to the squash blossom necklace. Don’t doubt the photographic memory of an impressionable middle schooler! Oddly enough, I remember scenes of this movie as vividly as I do my dad saying to my mom, “Cami, she’s not going to think this is… I don’t know, ok to grow up into, right?”
Or maybe that was about Clueless.
Going to go out on a limb and say screenplays like this aren’t hitting the desks of any Hollywood hotshots anymore. At least, not these days.

My roomie and I are sickeningly obsessed with this movie. We may have ordered legit girl scout sashes and badges so we could dress up like the girls in this movie…..
Are you ready because I am about to spam your blog with comments – this was my favorite movie for so long. I had a bootlegged VHS of this movie that I watched so much it fell apart. Epic. Life changing. On so many levels.
