Corks + Caftans

Riding in cars with boys.

November 30, 2011 1 Comment

Not a lot to do with a lot, but one of my favorite pictures of all time: me, my dad, my brother Charlie, and my cousin Spen (R.I.P.) riding in the 914 on Ponte Vedra Boulevard.

Things I’ll never take for granted: that my hand will always look small on my dad’s forearm, no matter how big I get; growing up a block from the ocean, with consta-sand in your shoes; a great brother and a great cousin to look up to; a cousin who left us far too early, but left a lifetime’s worth of impressions on me (how to be gracious under fire, being one); gorgeous automobiles; and, pictures that keep memories alive when I cannot.

p.s. more on Spen here.
