Imitation is the highest form of flattery: Peep my Richmond Mag feature + shop the Shopbop Sale!

So, my peeps at Shopbop are having another big sale—it’s on now, and runs until Thursday night, so give your fall threads a little love and pick up some goods. [Offer ends October 15, 2015, at 11:59pm PT.] Click over via my happy little widget up there if you love me. Offer cannot be applied to gift certificates or shipping fees. Exclusions apply.

Also, one of my oldest blog homies and lovely friend Megan, who is a recent Richmond transplant, was awesome enough to feature me in Richmond Magazine’s fashion pub, BLVD, as one of the 5 Richmond Instagrammers to follow. [I’m @wodehizzle if you’re not following me already—it’s where all the action is these days.]

Rip off my threads with the sale—links below! (Sadly, I’m a little heavy on the Rag & Bone in the feature, and it’s exempt from the sale, but I’ve found some groovy substitutes.)

Check it!

LNA ripped neck tees. Warning: adults (or, just old people) will tell you your shirt is ripped, and you’ll have to tell them you bought it that way. I’m wearing the Slasher tee, but there are a zillion other fantastic options. (I’m buying the slasher dress today.)

Old brown leather belt. Bought from the men’s section, but you can find rad alternatives from B-Low the belt. The more unassuming, the better. Eli chewed the end of mine—cat distressed.

A hat a bearded dude would wear. I can’t do the feminine, boho hats anymore—it threw my whole vibe off. I got the above Rag & Bone hat in three colors, but Janessa Leone is a rad hatmaker who is blowing up the scene. WWADW? (What would a dude wear? Boom.)

An unbuttoned shirt layered under leather. I’m still a sucker for Rails LA. And for denim shirts. Tie any of these babies around your waist, or slip it under your jacket. Just enough extra.

Leather cuffs. Now I’m really giving away all my secrets. I’ve been wearing a combination of the same four snap and buckle leather cuffs for over ten years. They were made for men, and that’s why I love them—no frills. I wear them with feminine dresses, blazers, my bathing suit… basically, they’re the anti-bubble necklace component I can’t live without.

Leather biker jacket. Go classic, but also go buttery soft. A luxurious zipper-laden leather jacket is the ultimate paradox, and you can’t be off, not even by a hair. I waited 6 months before landing on mine.

A chunky crystal pendant. Mine’s legit from a cosmic bookstore, but you can be less weird and get one like this.

That ought to be enough to get your started!

More posts coming—along with them changes. All them changes. When I’m ready, I’ll let it rip.
