Been beersing around lately and visited two new (and new to me) joints with delicious libations worth trying if you’re in RVA or you can find the below distributed to a beer store in your area. (Beer store? I don’t know.) First, Trapezium Brewing Co in Petersburg, a perfect little surprise on a baking hot day. The beers had this totally unique herbacious quality I really wasn’t expecting. A Honey Lavender beer! And you can really taste the lavender—it’s so incredibly elegant and esoteric, I was in heaven. Lemon Honey Ginger Ale! Even the White Ale has chamomile notes—I cannot get enough of it.
Above, the time I clocked 40 hours before 2PM on a Friday so spent the remaining 3 hours organizing my inbox with a delicious, frosty Trapezium Brewing Co. White Ale with lemon squeezed in it.
Then, my first trip to Garden Grove Brewing in Carytown, where I ordered us not one but two flights of beer before we finally made it to the grocery store next door. That’s one way to spend $200 on crackers and lunch meat.
Their list is always changing, and always rad. The French Nit Wit, Knight Rider, and Eazy E were excellent. Look for a light, wine-inspired sparkler; they’re pretty great at accommodating non-beer lovers who make their way in.
