So much to share from this trip, you guys—and my God it was the trip of a lifetime. But let’s just start here.
I never got around to taking a photo of it, but all over St Barth and St Maarten there was this same stenciled blue graffiti. It said “Toi la! Je t’aime.”
“Hey, you! I love you.”
It was on buildings, electrical boxes, signs, low concrete walls. As I had my knotted my hair around my wrist in the convertible, I’d spy it. With my arms circled around Chad’s chest on the back of an ATV, there it was. Walking barefoot down a busy street. Leaving for the airport.
As often as that phrase turns around inside my head these days, on and off like the top of a lighthouse, it was the common note of my trip.
I’m so in love with the world these days—even when it’s filled meanies, liars, cheaters, betrayals and hateful trolls who can’t seem to grapple with the site of a photo of me covering my boobs underwater on a topless beach (entire post is following about that, btw)—that graffiti got stenciled on me, too.
Hey, you! I love you.
