The weather has been absolutely haywire in Virginia—like 70s and 80s in February—but I’m not complaining, just needing new ways to creatively layer so cutoffs are socially responsible. If you recall my last post about the army jacket thieves of Richmond, I should mention my new alternative look (in attempt to veer off from the pack): a deconstructed, super thin and sort of silky trench in a creamy neutral—no plaid accents need apply, guys.
Picture undone over cutoffs with booties and sweaters/tees. There’s a sort of age-appropriateness to it I’m digging, and a sophistication that can cool off bare legs. I’m all about balance.

The length is going to be the tricky, crucial part. Can’t be ankle length like my old-school Burberry, and can’t be hip-length either. Mid-calf or knee-length seulement.
