Rodarte tulle blouse.

I definitely got on the Rodarte for Target train. I’ve never partaken of the Target collaborations, but this line was the product of my homegirl, the brilliant, incendiary, blue-haired Tavi. I’m like a 13-yr-old trying to rip a lock of a Jonas brothers’ hair from his head. If she touched it in some way, shape or form, I had to own it.

It seemed like during those couple of weeks, every blogger was showing off her Target/Rodarte acquisitions. I found this unsettling, seeing as how I get depressed thinking about everyone having the same stuff… which is inevitable…. unless you have good vintage stores. But I gave in (a little late)—thankfully for me, Saratoga Springs isn’t really a hot bed for cutting edge fashion and weeks into the line’s release, the racks were still full and was able to get my favorite item—the tie-neck tulle blouse.

I’ve had a tulle fetish for… ever. This shirt looks incredible under a short-sleeved band t-shirt, under a buttoned-up cardigan—it’s got a pretty cool transformative power that varies from opposite ends of the spectrum. It’s a nip of sherry at times; it can be a Heineken in a keg can just as easily.

You’ll be happy to know my brother always asks me if I’ve been out slaying dragons when I wear this belt.

And this Ronny Kobo dress is like a big, springy Ace bandage. I purchased it from ShopBop a number of weeks ago but I think they still have a few left. At around $40, I suggest you treat yourself and thank me later.

We’re off to a concert at The Egg in Albany for my birthday. Right after I told Rob we need cash for the bar at intermission, I heard him knocking around at the wine bar. “We should bring a split, right? Or is that against the rules?”

Sweet Rob. Since when do we care about the rules? I drink wine in the car on the way to vote!

Love how you are wearing it, as well as your suggestions. I might have to get me one. I love the idea of it with a concert T. Perfect concert outfit by the way. You look hot!

LOVE this outfit! I think it’s my favorite thus far! 😉 I have to admit I am one of those who jumped on the Rodarte for Target train! Purchased the mustard yellow dress with the bows on the shoulders, the day the collection came out. I have not posted a look wearing it, for the same reason that everyone was posting themselves wearing (the exact same dress) it! But I do love it. Hmm…maybe I’ll reconsider, what do you think??

Have a great time at your concert and many beautiful birthday wishes to you!!! 🙂
